Saturday May 23rd, Enid, OK - The LSU Eunice Baseball team (49-10) won their opening game of the NJCAA Division II World Series. LSU Eunice defeated Monroe Community College from Rochester, NY by a score of 11-7. Chance Mistric (14-1) pitched a complete-game to pick up the win. Mistric allowed 10 hits, seven runs, with three walks and six strikeouts.

Offensively, Trey Watkins, Jordan Bourque, and Brook Boudreaux collected two hits apeice. Bourque tallied five RBI's as he hit a game winning grand slam in the bottom of the ninth.

LSUE's next game in the World Series is scheduled for 12 noon on Monday May 25th. The Bengals will play Western Oklahoma State College from Altus, OK.
