Bengals win Regional Championship- UPDATED 5/24/10 at 11:35 am
RAYMOND, MISS -- The four-team, double-elimination Region XXIII tournament will be completed at the original site of Joe G. Moss Field on the campus of Hinds Community College.
The four teams participating will be Hinds (30-19), Louisiana State University-Eunice (43-11), East Central Community College (38-17) and Pearl River Community College (26-27).
LSU-Eunice (#2 seed) and East Central (#3 seed) will start the tournament on Thursday with a 3 p.m. first pitch, followed by Hinds (#1 seed) and Pearl River (#4 seed) getting underway at 6:30 p.m.
Hinds is the number one seed due to its first place finish in the state tournament. LSU-Eunice will get an automatic second seed, while East Central and Pearl River get the three and four seeds, respectively, due to their second and third place finishes in last week’s state tournament.

Thursday May 20th, Raymond, MS - The LSU Eunice Baseball team (43-12) was defeated today in game one of the Region 23 tournament by East Central Mississippi by a score of 14-10. The Bengals will play again at 12 noon tomorrow, Friday May 21st, with their opponent yet to be determined based on tonight's tournament game between Hinds Community College and Pearl River Community College.

Hinds defeated Pearl River 7-3 in the first game on Friday.
Game 3, LSU-Eunice vs. Pearl River, 5:30 p.m.
Friday May 22nd, Jackson, MS - The LSU Eunice baseball team (44-12) defeated Pearl River Community College by a score of 9-3 in an elimination game in the Region 23 tournament last night. The Bengals will play again today at 5:30 pm. Games for the rest of the tournament have been moved back to Joe G. Moss Field on the campus of Hinds Community College in Raymond, MS. LSU Eunice will play the loser of the Hinds versus East Central game that is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm.

The win moves the Bengals to the Championship game(s) versus Hinds Community College. The game(s) between LSU Eunice and Hinds is set to begin at 2:00 pm on Sunday May 23rd.

Sunday May 23rd, Raymond, MS – The LSU Eunice baseball team (47-12) defeated the host school Hinds Community College twice to win the Region XIII championship and advance to the NJCAA World Series. The Bengals won by scores of 12-10 and 16-6.
