Champs Get Rings
EUNICE -- The 2011 NJCAA National Championship Softball team members were awarded their championship rings at ceremonies held Friday, Novemeber 4.
Team members returned to re-celebrate their national title and relive the dream season that brought LSU Eunice its' first title in softball.
LSU Eunice knocked off Owens Community College 10-0 in the NJCAA Division II national championship game in Normal, Illionis. The Lady Bengals went into the tournament as the number one seed and rolled right through it, defeating Cecil, Owens, Kankakee and South Moutain before facing a rematch with Owens for the title game.
This was LSU Eunice's second appearance in the National Tournament since they started play in 2005.
