Friday June 1st, Enid, OK - The LSU Eunice baseball team (56-5) defeated Heartland Community College tonight 11-3 to advance to the NJCAA National Championship game.
Starting pitcher Brady Wilson (Parkview Baptist) (14-1) threw the complete eight-inning run-ruled shortened game. Wilson allowed six hits and three runs with two walks and eight strikeouts.
Stuart Turner (Eunice) went 3-for-4 with a double, one run scored, and two RBI's to lead the offense. Landon Thibodeaux (Central) added two hits going 2-for-3 with three RBI's and one run scored. Dalton Herrington (Minden) added two RBI's and hit his 10th homerun of the season. Casey Rodrigue (Brother Martin) added a single and an RBI sacrifice fly which ended the game in the bottom of the eighth.
The Bengals will play tomorrow, Saturday June 2nd at 7:00 PM against Western Oklahoma.

Game 16: LSU Eunice (55-5) def. Madison (45-13) - 9-0 • Madison eliminated \
Thursday May 31st, Enid, OK - The LSU Eunice baseball team (55-5) defeated Madison College 9-0 this afternoon at the NJCAA World Series in an elimination game. Kirk Savoy (Holy Savior Menard) (5-1) threw the complete seven-inning run-rule shortened game. Savoy allowed two hits and no runs with three walks and six strikeouts.
Drew Forbes (Denham Springs) paced the Bengals offensively going 3-for-4 with a double and one run scored with one RBI on his fourth homerun of the season. Adam Angelle (Teurlings Catholic) added two hits going 2-for-4 with two singles, one run scored, and one RBI. Casey Rodrigue (Brother Martin) also had two hits going 2-for-3 with two RBI's. Dalton Herrington (Minden) added three RBI's on his ninth homerun of the year.
The Bengals will play again tomorrow, Friday June 1st at 7:00 PM with their opponent to be determined based on the outcome of tonights 7:00 PM game.

Game 14: LSU Eunice (54-5) def. Des Moines (51-15) - 13-0 • Des Moines eliminated
Wednesday May 30th, Enid, OK - The LSU Eunice baseball team (54-5) defeated Des Moines Area Community College 13-0 today in an elimination game at the NJCAA World Series.
Starting pitcher Brady Domangue (Vandebilt Catholic) (8-1) threw the complete five-inning run-rule shortened game. Domangue allowed four hits, with four walks and five strikeouts.
The offense was led by Dalton Herrington (Minden) who went 2-for-3 with a double, a stolen base, three runs scored, and three RBI's. Adam Angelle (Teurlings Catholic) also had two hits going 2-for-2 with a stolen base, an RBI, and three runs scored. The other Bengal with multiple hits was Sam Carriere (Destrehan) who went 2-for-3 with a double, a stolen base, two runs scored, and one RBI. Zac Hawkins (Northlake Christian) added three RBI's.
The next game for LSU Eunice will be tomorrow, Thursday May 31st at 3:30 PM with their opponent to be determined based on the outcome of tonight's 7:00 PM game.

Game 11: LSU-Eunice (53-5) def. Scottsdale (39-24) – 3-2 • Scottdale eliminated
Tuesday May 29th, Enid, OK - The LSU Eunice baseball team (53-5) won today's elimination game over Scottsdale Community College by a score of 3-2.
Cody Boutte (NISH) (8-1) started on the mound and pitched 8 2/3 innings, allowing nine hits and two runs with one walk and four strikeouts to get the win. Patrick Michon (Porter, TX) came on to record the final out and tally his 16th save of the season.
At the plate, Drew Forbes (Denham Springs) went 2-for-4 with two singles, one run scored, and one stolen base. Forbes stole home in the second inning to record the Bengals first run. Casey Rodrigue (Brother Martin) also had two hits, going 2-for-2 with a bunt single and a double. Stuart Turner (Eunice) went 1-for-3 with a go-ahead two-run homerun in the bottom of the eigth inning. The homerun was Turner's seventh of the season.
The Bengals will now play tomorrow, May 30th, at 3:30 PM with their opponent to be determined after tonight's 7:00 pm game between Western Oklahoma and Des Moines.

Sunday May 27th, Enid, OK - The LSU Eunice baseball team (52-5) lost their opening game at the NJCAA World Series by a score of 4-3.
Starting pitcher Brady Wilson (Parkview Baptist) threw 7 2/3 innings, allowing ten hits and one run with two walks and three strikeouts in getting a no decision. Will Bacon (Parkview Baptist) finished the eighth on one walk and one strikeout. Brady Domangue (Vandebilt Catholic) (7-1) suffered the loss, going 1/3 of an inning, allowing two hits and three runs. Patrick Michon (Porter, TX) recorded the final two outs on no hits, two walks, and one strikeout.
At the plate, Stuart Turner (Eunice) went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Landon Thibodeaux went 1-for-2 with a homerun. Adam Angelle tallied the other RBI on a bases loaded walk in the ninth.
The next game for the Bengals will be Tuesday May 29th at 12:00 noon with the opponent to be determined.

*NOTE: If there are three teams remaining at Game 18, the team with the most games played shall receive a bye to Game 19. If there is a tie for the most games played, a coin toss will be used to determine the bye. All games except Championship Games (possibly Game 18 if just two teams remain and Game 19) will have the run rule. 10 runs after 5 complete innings, 8 runs after 7 complete innings. All games are scheduled for 9 innings. |
