LOS ANGELES – The LSUE Lady Bengal basketball team picked up their fourth straight win as they cruised to an easy 81-51 win over Los Angeles Harbor Community College, Tuesday.
The sixth ranked Lady Bengals improved to 7-4 on the season and are currently on a 2-game road trip in Los Angeles. LSUE will take on East Los Angeles College later this week.
LSUE set the pace of the game on the first shot when Kayla Armstrong nailed a 3-point basket. The Lady Bengals would make 10 3-point shots in the contest with freshman Casey Primeaux sinking five.
Primeaux finished the night with a career high 19 points. Armstrong had 16 and nine rebounds, while sophomore Jessica Pipkins led LSUE with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
The Lady Bengals outscored the Seahawks (5-8) 51-23 in the first period and then slowed down the pace of the game in the second period. Despite the relaxed pace, LSUE still put up 30 points in the second.
Leading scorer for L.A. Harbor was Cherise Davis. She finished with 21 points. Melissa Milton had 16.
LSUE will return home in January for a six game home stretch that kicks off with the LSUE New Years Classic on January 4 and 5.
