Lady Bengals Fight Past Southern
EUNICE – The Louisiana State University at Eunice basketball team scored 47 points in the second half to pull ahead of Southern Shreveport and picked up their 10th victory of the season.
The Lady Bengals beat Southern Shreveport 77-68 to improve to 10-5.
While fouls plagued Southern (9-6), LSUE was troubled with turnovers, but the Lady Bengals overcame their setbacks and dominated the second half of play, scoring 47 points and out-rebounding the Lady Jags.
Kayla Armstrong led LSUE in scoring with 29 points. Chelsie Guillory had 13 points and Ariel Dimes finished with 12 points. Casey Primeaux scored 8 points, all in the second half.
The sixth ranked Lady Bengals will host San Jacinto College (3-10) Saturday, Jan 19.
