The LSU Eunice Lady Bengals gained their first win of the season in easy fashion in a 91-44 blowout Friday night.  The win comes against Andrew College from Cuthbert, Georgia as part of the Lady Bengal Fall Classic Tournament.

Freshman guard Candace Lacombe led the way with 21 points in her first game for the Bengals.  Quanessa Batiste, a transfer sophomore from Tallahassee Community College, scored 18 in her first game as well.  Another freshman, Sierra Goldwire of Clyo, Georgia, led the Bengals in rebounds with 11.  Goldwire is the first out-of-state recruit to sign and play with the Lady Bengals Basketball team.

The Bengals road to victory happened behind the three-point line, hitting 10 of 28 from long range.  Bench contribution was also key, freshman Angel Simar and returning sophomore Mallory Thornton both recorded 10 points.

The Lady Bengals next opponent will be Southwest Tennessee Community College, as part of LSUE's Lady Bengal Fall Classic Tournament.
