LSUE (2-5) opened their road stretch in Tennessee and fell to Volunteer State Community College 80-69. The Lady Bengals trailed by six points at the half, but turnovers by the LSUE girls allowed the Vols (7-0) to open up a larger lead and put LSUE away.
Candace LaCombe had 29 points for the Lady Bengals, 18-coming from three-point baskets. Jennifer Hicks finished with 15 and Quanessa Batiste had 12.
LSUE suffered their second loss to Columbia State Community College (1-3), who outscored the Lady Bengals 93-76. LSUE trailed by seven points at halftime, but Columbia out-paced the Lady Bengals 58-34 in the second half.
