Tillman’s 16 points, 10 rebounds power LSU Eunice over SW Adventist
Steven Bari
After a tough finish the night before, the LSU Eunice Lady Bengals needed a big win to close the weekend.
A stop in Keene, Texas gave the Bengals what they needed as they cruised to a 91-62 victory over Southwestern Adventist University.
The starting five for the Lady Bengals were able to put a large margin in the score, which allowed Coach
Michael Bari to give them a rest, and spread the playing time out among the rest of his team. With the exception of
Erica Noel, the entire squad recorded at least 10 minutes of playing time.
Twanisha Tillman finished as the leading scorer for LSUE, with 16 points and 10 rebounds in the win. All but one player,
Shaina Howard, scored at least one point in the game.
Phyleice Beaver finished with career-highs in both two categories, notching 12 points and 13 rebounds.
Jennifer Hicks managed 10 points in 24 minutes. Erica Noel started for the Lady Bengals, but only played four minutes after aggrevating a pre-existing injury. She isn’t expected to miss any additional time, and is set to play in the next contest versus North Platte Community College.
