San Jacinto defeats LSU Eunice
Saturday May 2nd, Eunice, LA – The LSUE Baseball team (44-9) lost both games of a doubleheader today to San Jacinto College from Houston, TX. San Jac won the first game by a score of 8-4. Chance Mistric (12-1) suffered his first defeat of the season. Mistric pitched 7 innings, allowed eight hits, five earned runs, with two walks and eight strikeouts. Gabriel Thibodeaux of St. Louis Catholic tallied three singles in five at bats and Caleb Clowers of West Monroe went 2-for-4 with a double.
In game two, San Jac won by an 8-3 score. Dane Amedee (2-3) of East Ascension High received the loss on the mound. At the plate, six different Bengals hitters had one hit apiece.
The Bengals will be playing their last regular season game(s) on Friday May 8th. The doubleheader will be played at Southern University in Baton Rouge set to begin at 3 pm.
