Bengals drop East Point in Game One
On Saturday, LSU Eunice (No. 15 NJCAA) defeated the Jaguars 96-79. The final score was helped along by five Bengals scoring in double digits.
Erica Noel led the team in points with 23, followed by Jennifer Hicks’ 18. Ashley Qualls scored 16 points, Amanda Fontenot and Sierra Goldwire each scored 12 points.
The Lady Bengals shot 45 percent from the field on 88 attempts. A small blemish on an otherwise great game statistically, the team shot 6-15 from the free-throw line, for a season low 40 percent.
Fontenot and Goldwire posted double-doubles. Goldwire’s seventh double-double this season included 12 rebounds, while Fontenot posted a career high 15 assists
