Lady Bengals off to 9-1 Start
EUNICE - -The Lady Bengal Softball is currently on a six game win streak after knocking of Bishop State here Thursday in doubleheader action. LSU Eunice won 8-0 in the first game and 5-2 in the second.
The 11th ranked Lady Bengals are 9-1 on the season after sweeping LSU Alexandria, Hinds Community College, Pearl River Community College and Bishop State and splitting with San Jacinto College
Leading the Lady Bengals in batting through the first ten games are Heather Abshire and Karlie Wainwright. Abshire has .545 batting average and six hits at 11 at bats, including a team leading three doubles. Wainwright is sporting a .516 batting average and leads the team with 2 triples.
Hayley Sanchez leads the Lady Bengals with 11 RBIs and Chasity Gary has recorded 10 RBIs.
On the mound for LSU Eunice, Leah Andrus is 4-1 and both Lanie Hollier and Stacey Sutton are 2-0.
