Bengals and Cavaliers Split DH

Thursday February 25th, Eunice, LA – The LSU Eunice Baseball team (12-1) split a doubleheader today with Bossier Parish Community College (8-6). In game one, the Bengals won by a 13-3 score. Colby Broussard (1-0) from Hahnville picked up the win on the mound in relief of starter Dane Amedee of East Ascension High School. Broussard pitched three hitless innings of relief with one base on balls and two stikeouts.
Offensively, three Bengals collected multiple hits. Andrew Reeves of Parkview Baptist went 3-for-4 with two RBI’s and two runs scored. Gabriel Thibodeaux of St. Louis Catholic and Matt Richard of East Ascension had two hits apiece. Thibodeaux added three runs scored and Richard had two RBI’s. 

The Cavaliers of Bossier Parish won game two 11-6. Jeremy Breaux of Rayne suffered the defeat pitching two plus innings and allowing seven hits and nine runs. Tyler Cook of Berwick High came on to pitch the final four plus innings in relief of Breaux. 
At the plate, Les Aulds of West Monroe went 2-for-4 with three RBI’s and hit his third homerun of the season. Reeves added two more hits in the second game. 

The Bengals will be back in action Saturday at Bengal Stadium against East Central Mississippi. The doubleheader is set to begin at 1 pm.
