Bengals Sweep DH
Saturday, February 6th; Eunice, LA – The LSU Eunice baseball team (4-0) won both games of a doubleheader today versus Northlake Community College from Irving, TX.
The Bengals won the first game by a score of 11-0. Chance Mistric (2-0), from Port Barre, earned the win pitching four innings, allowing one hit and no runs while walking one batter and striking out four. Dane Amedee of East Ascension High pitched three innings in relief of Mistric allowing two hits and no runs while also walking one and striking out four. Offensively, the Bengals had five hitters collect multiple hits, including Les Aulds and Zach Kirksey; both of West Monroe, who each hit a homerun in the game. Aulds tallied four RBI’s.
The Bengals won game two by a 14-3 score. Tony Dischler (1-0) from Rayne earned the victory pitching four innings, allowing three hits and an unearned run while striking out five batters. Raph Rhymes of Neville High School led the way offensively going 3-for-4 with a triple, a homerun, and six RBI’s.
LSU Eunice and Northlake are set to play the final game of the three games series tomorrow, Sunday February 7th at Bengals Stadium. The game is slated to begin at 1 pm.
