Bengals down Bears
Friday March 26th, Baton Rouge, LA – The #1 ranked LSU Eunice Baseball team (30-4) defeated Baton Rouge Community College 12-2 tonight at Pete Goldsby Field. Chance Mistric (6-0); West Alabama signee, earned the win pitching a pre-determined three innings, allowing two hits and two runs with two walks and three strikeouts. Four Bengals pitchers combined to allow one hit and no runs with one walk and nine strikeouts in six innings in relief of Mistric. One of those pitchers, Dane Amedee of East Ascension, pitched two innings with no hits, one walk, and five strikeouts.
Offensively, Jordan Bourque; ULL signee, Les Aulds; ULM signee, Raph Rhymes of Neville, and Ryan Broussard; University of Houston signee, each collected two hits. Bourque, Rhymes, and Broussard added two RBI’s apiece. Gabriel Thibodeaux of St. Louis Catholic hit his sixth homerun of the season and tallied four RBI’s.
LSU Eunice and Baton Rouge play again tomorrow, Saturday March 27th at Bengal Stadium in Eunice. The single nine inning game is set to begin at 6 pm.
