On Saturday, March 6th, the LSU Eunice Baseball team began competition in the Wes Cliburn Memorial Tournament hosted by Hinds Community College in Raymond, MS. Day one saw the Bengals face Bossier Parish and Kaskaskia College from Centralia, IL. 
In the first game, Bossier defeated the LSU Eunice 6-5. Colby Broussard (0-1) suffered the defeat allowing one earned run in two innings of relief. Starter Chance Mistric pitched five innings, allowing only one earned run with three base on balls and nine strikeouts. 
Offensively, Matt Richard and Jordan Bourque had two hits apiece. Bourque added an RBI. 

In game two, the Bengals defeated Kaskaskia by a score of 9-1. Tony Dischler (4-1) picked up the win going five innings, allowing five hits and one run with one walk and five strikeouts. Ben Carter and Kaleb Manuel each came on to pitch a perfect inning of relief. 
Three Bengals collected multiple hits in the game. Les Aulds went 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBI’s, Jacque Fruge went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, and Brook Boudreaux went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI’s.
