LSU Eunice defeats Baton Rouge 10-1
Friday, April 16th Eunice, LA – The LSU Eunice baseball team (37-6) defeated Baton Rouge Community College (18-27) by a score of 10-1. Chance Mistric (9-0) from Port Barre earned the win pitching eight innings, allowing four hits and one run with no walks and three strikeouts. Tony Dischler; ULL signee, came on in relief of Mistric and pitched a scoreless ninth inning. Offensively, the Bengals were led by Zach Kirksey of West Monroe who went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI, a stolen base, and three runs scored. Jacob Fisher; Southeastern signee, added two hits; one being a double, with two RBI’s and two runs scored. The Bengals and the Bears continue their three game weekend series with game two scheduled to be played in Baton Rouge tomorrow at 6 pm at Pete-Goldsby field.
