Bengals down Bears Again
Saturday April 17th, Baton Rouge, LA – The NJCAA #1 ranked LSU Eunice baseball team (38-6) defeated Baton Rouge Community College (18-28) by a score of 16-4 tonight at Pete Goldsby Field in Baton Rouge.
Joe Fabre (4-0); Nicholls signee, earned the win in relief of starter Dane Amedee. Fabre pitched 5 1/3 innings of scoreless relief allowing three hits and one walk while striking out two batters. After Fabre, Andrew Reeves of Parkview Baptist, Dustin Fulks; Louisiana College commitment, and Kaleb Manuel of Mamou combined to pitch two scoreless innings of relief.
Offensively, the Bengals were led by Raph Rhymes of Neville who went 4-for-6 with a homerun, five RBI’s, and three runs scored. Zach Kirksey of West Monroe and Jacob Fisher; Southeastern signee, each went 3-for-4 and added a homerun apiece. Fisher also had a triple.
The two teams will conclude their three game series and season series versus one another tomorrow, Sunday, April 18th at Bengal Stadium in Eunice. That contest is set to begin at 2 pm.
