Bengals Sweep Bears
Sunday April 18th, Eunice, LA – The NJCAA #1 ranked LSU Eunice baseball team (39-6) completed a three game sweep of Baton Rouge Community College (18-26) today at Bengal Stadium. The Bengals won by a score of 6-1. The win gave the Bengals a 4-1 record versus BRCC on the season.
Tony Dischler (8-2); ULL signee, picked up the win going seven innings, allowing seven hits and no walks while striking out five. Four different Bengals relievers combined to pitch the final two innings allowing no hits and no runs.
At the plate, Jordan Bourque; ULL signee, and Raph Rhymes tallied two hits apiece. They both added and RBI and one run scored. Les Aulds went 1-for-2 with three walks, a triple, and three runs scored.
The next scheduled games for the Bengals is a three game weekend series at Bengal Stadium versus LB Wallace Community College from Andalusia, AL beginning on Friday April 23rd. The game scheduled on Saturday April 24 will be Veterans night. Check the website at www.lsuebengals.net for game times.
