LSU Eunice Completes Series Sweep
Sunday April 25th, Eunice, LA – The LSU Eunice baseball team (42-6) completed the three game series sweep of LB Wallace (28-16) by a score of 12-4. The Bengals won five of six contests against the top ten ranked LB Wallace on the season.
Starter Tony Dischler; ULL signee, received a no decision pitching five innings, allowing six hits and four runs with four walks and eight strikeouts. Andrew Reeves (1-0) of Parkview Baptist picked up the win in relief of Dischler. Reeves pitched two innings, allowing one hit and no runs.
Offensively, Les Aulds; ULM signee, and Jordan Bourque; ULL signee, both went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored. Bourque added two RBI’s. Raph Rhymes of Neville hit his 10th homerun of the season and tallied four RBI’s. Zach Kirksey of West Monroe added his seventh homerun of the season.
The next scheduled game for the Bengals will be Tuesday April 27th at Mississippi Gulf Coast. The contest is a doubleheader set to begin at 3 pm in Perkinston, MS.
