Bengals Drop Two
Tuesday April 27th, Perkinston, MS – The LSU Eunice Baseball team (42-8) was swept in a doubleheader by Mississippi Gulf Coast (28-14). Gulf Coast won the first game 7-6.
Starter Joe Fabre received a no decision pitching 5 1/3 innings, allwoing five hits and one run with one walk and five strikeouts. Andrew Reeves (1-1) took the loss as he came on in relief of Fabre in the sixth inning and pitched the rest of the game.
Offensively, Raph Rhymes went 4-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored. Ryan Broussard added two hits and two RBI’s.
In game two, Gulf Coast won 11-1. Starter Ben Carter (1-1) received the loss pitching two innings, allowing three hits and five earned runs with one walk and three strikeouts. At the plate, Jordan Bourque collected two hits.
