LSU Eunice defeats Pearl River
Saturday, May 1st Eunice, LA – The LSU Eunice baseball team (43-8) defeated Pearl River Community College 10-0 today at Bengal Stadium. Chance Mistric (11-0) of Port Barre earned the win pitching 6 2/3 innings, allowing three hits and no runs with one walk and eight strikeouts. Dane Amedee of East Ascension came on in relief of Mistric to finish the final 1 1/3 innings allowing no hits, no runs, and no walks with one stikeout.
At the plate, four different Bengal hitters collected multiple hits. Les Aulds; ULM signee, went 2-for-3 with two RBI’s and a run scored. Raph Rhymes of Neville went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI’s. Zach Kirksey of West Monroe went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs scored and Matt Richard of East Ascension went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs scored.
