Melvin, Bell lead Bengals to victory

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Mia Melvin and Keeley Bell each notched career highs in points Monday night after taking down Scottsdale Community College 82--70. Melvin led the Lady Bengals in scoring with 23 points on 7-15 shooting from the field. Melvin also added 9 rebounds to the 51 total for LSU Eunice.
Keeley Bell also gathered a double-double, notching 22 points and 12 rebounds. Bell's line is the first 20+ point, 10+ rebound effort in an NJCAA game since Erica Noel versus Mountain View College on Feb 27, 2010.
Tyler Compton added 9 assists, her second-highest total of the season, despite recording the least of amount of playing time this season at 22 minutes.
The Lady Bengals' 11 three-pointers is a team high for the season, and the highest amount of three-pointers recorded since Feb. 17, 2010 against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
