LSU Eunice wins series over Wharton

Sunday February 13th, Eunice, LA – The LSU Eunice Baseball team (2-1) won the final game of their weekend series against Wharton County Junior College by a score of 15-3. The Bengals won two of the three games in the series.

On the mound, Brady Wilson (1-0) of Parkview Baptist earned the win pitching five innings, allowing two hits and two runs. Tyler Venable (Rayne) pitched two innings in relief of Wilson allowing one hit and one run.

Offensively, five Bengals recorded multiple hits led by Wet Delatte (St. Amant) who went 4-for-4 with three RBI’s and a run scored. Sam Carriere (Destrehan) went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI’s, and three runs scored. Stuart Turner (Eunice), Hommy Rosado (Barbe), and Matt Richard (East Ascension) added two hits apiece with Rosado tallying three RBI’s.

The next game for LSU Eunice is scheduled for Tuesday February 15th at Bossier Parish Community College in Bossier City, LA. The doubleheader is set to begin at 12:00 noon.
