Bengals and Cavaliers Split DH
Tuesday February 15th, Bossier City, LA – The LSU Eunice baseball team (3-2) split a doubleheader with Bossier Parish Community College today. LSU Eunice won the first game 12-4. Wet Delatte (1-0) of St. Amant High School picked up the win on the mound pitching five innings, allowing six hits and one run with three strikeouts.
Offensively, five different hitters collected multiple hits, led by Sam Carriere (Destrehan) who went 3-for-5 with a double and three runs scored. Wet Delatte, Hommy Rosado (Barbe), and Jacque Fruge (Eunice) had two hits and two RBI’s apiece. Chuck Tillery (Starkville, MS) also had two hits.
In game two, Bossier won by a score of 5-3. Luke Creech (0-1) (Airline) received the loss pitching 5 1/3 innings, allowing two hits and two runs with one walk and four stikeouts.
At the plate, six different batters collected one hit apiece. Carriere and Dalton Herrington (Minden) each had a double and a run scored.
The next scheduled games for the Bengals is a three game weekend series beginning on Friday February 18th against St. Charles, MO. The games will be played at Bengal Stadium. Check the LSU Eunice athletics website at www.lsuebengals.net for game times.
