Bengal Beat Pear River, Extend Win Streak to 13

The LSU Eunice Lady Bengal Softball team extended their win streak to 13 after knocking off Pearl River Community College in doubleheader action Tuesday. The girls rolled to an 11-1 victory in game one and dominated game 2, winning by a score of 13-1.

In game one, the Lady Bengals used a 7-run second inning to put the game out of reach.

Heather Abshire was the winning pitcher, facing 18 batters, striking out five and allowing just two hits. Abshire also had a home run and two RBIs.

In game two, the Lady Bengals scored nine runs in the third inning and held Pearl River scoreless in the final three innings.

Tin Schulz earned the win for the Bengals. She struck out five and allowed three hits.
Karli Wainwright finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs while Haley McCall finished 2-for-4 and one RBI. Terrisita Vallery was 2-for-2 and three RBIs.
