LSU Eunice beats Florida Gulf Coast
Friday February 25th, Marianna, FL - The LSU Eunice baseball team (7-2) defeated Florida Gulf Coast Community College (8-7) by a score of 11-7 today.
Josh Sims (1-0) from LaSalle High School picked up the win in relief of starter Andrew Reeves. Sims pitched two innings, allowing three hits and one run with no walks and one strikeout.
Offensively, the Bengals were led by Dalton Herrington (Minden) who went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBI's. Stuart Turner (Eunice) went 2-for-5 with a double and four RBI's.
The Bengals continue play in the Chipola tournament tomorrow evening with a 7 pm scheduled start time against the host team. Play for the Bengals will concluded on Sunday when LSU Eunice plays St. Johns River Community College at 11 am.
