LSU Eunice Defeats Texarkana
Friday March 11th, Eunice, LA – The LSU Eunice baseball team (15-4) defeated Texarkana College from Texarkana, TX 9-7 today.
Clayton Dugan (1-0) from St. Thomas More picked up his first win of the season. Dugan pitched eight innings, allowing eight hits and five runs while walking four batters and striking out five. Kaleb Manuel (Mamou) finished the ninth inning to earn his second save of the season.
Offensively, four different Bengals collected multiple hits. Matt Richard (East Ascension) went 2-for-4 with a run scored, Wet Delatte (St. Amant) went 2-for-5 with two runs scored, Sam Carriere (Destrehan) went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI’s, and Gavin Webster (Lutcher) went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
The two teams will play again tomorrow, Saturday March 12th, with a 1 pm start time scheduled at Bengal Stadium.
