Lady Bengals sweep East Mississippi CC
Lady Bengals get back on a roll with eight straight wins, which brings the Lady Bengals new record to 30-5. The most recent wins on Saturday March 19th, were against East Mississippi CC, 7-0, 8-0.
Game one Lady Bengals got on top with four quick runs in the first inning, and the bengals added three more runs over the next four innings. The Lady Lions were never able to recover, and the Bengals took the first game 7-0. The winning pitcher was Tina Schulz, who went 2-3 at the plate with two RBI's.
In game two, the Lady Bengals came out with five runs in the first inning, and scored three more runs to ensure the mercy rule, eight runs after five innings. Heather Abshire takes the win with seven strike outs in five innings of work. Karli Wainwright, Chaney Trahan, Haley McCall,Logane Fusilier, and Leah Andrus each went 2-3 at the plate.
The Lady Bengals will be traveling to Houston,Tx on Wednesday March 23, to take on San Jacinto JC.
