Bengals Open Series with Victory
Thursday March 24th, Eunice, LA – The #2 ranked LSU Eunice baseball team (22-4) defeated Sinclair Community College from Dayton, OH tonight by a score of 7-6.
Ben Carter (4-0) of Parkview Baptist pitched six innings, allowing four hits and two runs with three walks and three strikeouts to pick up the win. Kaleb Manuel (Mamou) recorded the final two outs in the ninth inning to get his sixth save of the season.
Offensively, Zac Hawkins (Northlake Christian) went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and Jacque Fruge (Eunice) had a pinch-hit two RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning.
The same two teams meet tomorrow Friday March 25th for a doubleheader set to begin at 4 pm at Bengal Stadium.
