LSU Eunice Wins Against Kellogg
Wednesday March 9th, Eunice, LA – The LSU Eunice baseball team (12-4) played this evening against Kellogg Community College from Battle Creek, MI. The Bengals won by a score of 12-1.
Jared Dye of Mangham earned his first victory of the season pitching six innings, allowing four hits and one run with one walk and nine strikeouts.
At the plate, three different Bengal hitters recorded multiple hits. Stuart Turner (Eunice) went 2-for-2 with a run scored and one RBI. Richard Bain went 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI’s, and Tyler Theriot (Sam Houston) went 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBI’s. Zac Hawkins (Northlake Christian) added two RBI’s on his first homerun of the season.
The same two teams will play again tomorrow, Thursday March 10th in a doubleheader set to begin at 4 pm at Bengal Stadium.
