Bengals down Bears
Friday April 1st, Eunice, LA – The #1 ranked LSU Eunice baseball team (26-6) defeated Baton Rouge Community College by a score of 5-2 this evening.
Brady Wilson (5-0) of Parkview Baptist picked up the win pitching eight innings, allowing four hits and two runs with three walks and five strikeouts. Kaleb Manuel (Mamou) pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn his eighth save of the season.
The Bengals were led offensively by Zac Hawkins (Northlake Christian) who went 3-for-3 with three singles. Matt Richard (East Ascension) added two singles and two RBI’s, and Hommy Rosado (Barbe) went 2-for-4 with three RBI’s including his fifth homerun of the season.
The same two teams will meet again on Sunday April 3rd at 2 pm at Bengal Stadium.
