Lady Bengals Take Two from Alvin CC
The Lady Bengals pick up four wins in three days, first sweeping Jones County JC at home on Saturday and then on Monday at Alvin CC.
In game one verses Jones the Lady Bengals rallied from a 1-4 deficit in the 7th inning to come back and the defeat the Lady Bobcats 5-4. Katie Ocmand went 3-3 at the plate, Tina Schulz went 3-4, and Chaney Trahan went 2-4. Pitcher Leah Andrus picked up the win giving up three hits and striking out six in five innings of work.
The Lady Bengals came out with a bang in game two scoring four runs in the first inning. The Lady Bengals defense kept the Lady Bobcats off the board in the second game. Scoring four more runs through the next five innings put the final score at 8-0. Tina Schulz picked up the win for the Bengals giving up only three hits and striking out six.
The Lady Bengals continued their success by picking up two more wins verses Alvin CC.
The Lady Bengals defeated the Lady Dolphins 15-6 in the first game. Karli Wainwirght and Logane Fuselier both went 3-4 at the plate. Ashley Taylor went 2-2 and Leah Andrus went 2-5, Heather Abshire picked up the win pitching the last three innings giving up only three hits and striking out three.
In the second game the Lady Bengals defeated Alvin 9-8. Karli Wainwright and Chaney Trahan both went 4-5 at the plate, Logane Fuselier went 3-4, and Haley McCall and Jaci Trahan both went 2-3. Heather Abshire received the win in game two.
The Lady Bengals take on Northeast Texas CC at home in two double headers on Friday April 15th and Saturday the 16th.
