Tyler Defeats LSU Eunice
Friday April 15th, Eunice, LA – The #2 ranked LSU Eunice baseball team (31-11) lost tonight to Tyler Junior College from Tyler, TX by a score of 6-5.
Brady Wilson (6-1) of Parkview Baptist took the loss pitching 4 1/3 innings, allowing eight hits and six runs; three earned, with three walks and seven strikeouts. Josh Burris (Scottlandville) and Tyler Theriot (Sam Houston) combined to allow no runs over the final 4 2/3 innings in relief of Wilson.
At the plate, Zac Hawkins (Northlake Christian) went 2-for-5 with a double, a run scored, and one RBI. Sam Carriere (Destrehan) went 2-for-5 with two doubles and three RBI’s, and Stuart Turner (Eunice) went 2-for-3 with a double.
The same two teams play again tomorrow in a doubleheader to complete the three game series. The start time is set for 1 pm at Bengal Stadium.
