LSU Eunice Defeats Baton Rouge 8-0
Saturday April 23rd, Baton Rouge, LA – The #2 ranked LSU Eunice baseball team (36-12) won tonight against Baton Rouge Community College by a score of 8-0.
Andrew Reeves (6-3) of Parkview Baptist picked up the win pitching eight innings, allowing two hits and no runs with five walks and three strikeouts. Josh Burris (Scottlandville) pitched a scoreless ninth inning in relief of Reeves and allowed one walk with three strikeouts.
At the plate, the Bengals had three hitters who recorded two hits apiece. Dalton Herrington (Minden) went 2-for-5 with a double, one run scored, and two RBI’s. Wet Delatte (St. Amant) went 2-for-4 with a three run homerun, and Hommy Rosado (Barbe) went 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI.
The win gives the Bengals a 4-1 record over Baton Rouge in the five games played between the teams this season.
The next scheduled game for the Bengals is against LSU Alexandria. The game is set to begin at 6 pm in Alexandria on Tuesday April 26th.
