Bengals Participating in Frisco Showcase
Practice makes perfect is how the old saying goes, and the Lady Bengals are prepared for just that.
LSU Eunice is set to participate in the Shalin Hoops’ JUCO Showcase on October 7 in Frisco, Texas. The Showcase features 30-plus teams from six different states, all coming together not only prepare for the upcoming season, but to increase their player’s visibility among four-year university programs.
Each team plays three games during the showcase, usually consisting of two running clock halves, with no official score recorded, as per NJCAA rules.
The Lady Bengals are scheduled to play Neosho County Community College, Ranger College, and Clarendon College at 10 a.m., Noon, and 2 pm, respectively.
Other teams participating in the showcase include Baton Rouge Community College, Blinn College, and Southern University – Shreveport.
This will be the third consecutive year the Lady Bengals have attended the JUCO Showcase, and the second year it will be conducted at the Fieldhouse USA complex.
Fieldhouse USA is a massive 145,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art sports facility. It boasts 12 indoor basketball courts where the action will all be taking place, as well as a food court, baseball hitting cages, and indoor football and soccer fields.
The showcase is conducted under open-scrimmage rules, so admission for fans, friends, and family is permitted.
