The LSU Eunice Lady Bengals hit the road Wednesday night in Houston, as they travel to take on San Jacinto College looking to snap a two-game losing streak.

LSU Eunice is coming off a 73-51 defeat to #13th-ranked Blinn College on Saturday afternoon, putting together a solid first half before falling to the national foe.
Against Blinn, LSU Eunice shot 29 percent from the field in the game and 31 percent from three-point range in the loss. Taylor Hurd led all scorers with a 20-point scoring performance, while Lida Politopoulou added 18 points of her own for the Lady Bengals. Jordan Sweatt tallied five points, Meghan Cross and Kate Faulk each finished with three points, and Brooke Richard notched two points to round out the LSU Eunice scoring.

San Jacinto is coming off an 11-day layoff since hosting Panola College. San Jacinto is just 4-5 on the season, but came to Eunice and beat the Lady Bengals by 16 points back on Nov. 20.

“We are ready to play San Jacinto. We feel like we gave them the first game on our home court. The team is ready to get a win before the holiday break,” head coach Michael Bari said.

Back in the first contest, the Lady Bengals hit just five three-point baskets on the way to 26 percent shooting, while visiting San Jacinto came in and shot 47 percent from the field.

Tonight's game is scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff and can be seen online on Bengals All-Access, and can also be heard over the airwaves on 92.5 FM KVPI locally.
