SUNDAY GAME - Middle Georgia
The LSU Eunice baseball team (12-2) was defeated by Middle Georgia College 5-3. 

Starting Pitcher Kirk Savoy (Holy Savior Menard) (0-1) went 3 1/3 innings, allowing one hit and one run with two walks and two strikeouts to take the loss.  Will Bacon (Parkview Baptist) relieved Savoy and pitched 1 2/3 innings while allowing one hit and two runs with two walks and two strikeouts.  

Sam Carriere (Destrehan) led the Bengals offensively going 2-for-4 with one run scored and two RBI’s.  Marc Picciola (St. Charles Catholic) added an RBI going 1-for-2. 

The next scheduled games for the Bengals is a three game series against Wharton County Junior College.  The series is set to begin Friday March 2nd at 6:00 pm at Bengal Stadium.

SATURDAY GAMES - Chipola and Northwest Florida
Saturday February 25th, Marianna, FL - The LSU Eunice baseball team (12-1) won their first game today against Chipola College by a 17-7 score.

Starting pitcher Zac Person (Eunice) (1-0) picked up the win going 3 1/3 innings, allowing one hit and no runs with four walks and two strikeouts.  Tyler Venable (Rayne) pitched the final 1 2/3 innings, allowing one hit and no runs with one strikeout. 

Offensively, the Bengals were led by Drew Forbes (Denham Springs) who went 3-for-3 with three homeruns, four runs scored, and nine RBI's.  Garrett Deschamp (Parkview Baptist) added three singles going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.  Adam Angelle (Teurlings Catholice) went 2-for-2 with four runs scored and two RBI's, and Dalton Herrington (Minden) rounded out the Bengals who collected multiple hits going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. 

In the second game, LSU Eunice defeated Northwest Florida State College 5-3.  Brady Domangue (Vandebilt Catholic) (2-0) pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing four hits and three runs with three walks and seven strikeouts.  Patrick Michon (Porter, TX) came on to get the final out and record his third save of the season. 

At the plate, Deschamp went 1-for-2 with a run scored and two RBI's.  Marc Picciola (St. Charles Catholic) and Chuck Tillery (Starkville, MS) both went 1-for-2 with one RBI each. 

The Bengals will conclude play in the Chipola Tournament tomorrow, Sunday February 26th at 11:00 am against Middle Georgia.

FRIDAY GAME - Chipola
Marianna, FL - The LSU Eunice baseball team (10-1) was defeated tonight by the host team Chipola College by a score of 6-3. 

Jared Dye (Mangham) (3-1) took the loss pitching 1 1/3 innings, allowing five hits and four runs.  Dye was relieved by Brandt Bourgeois (Destrehan) who pitched the remainder of the seven inning game allowing three hits and two runs, one earned, with three walks and six strikeouts. 

Adam Angelle (Teurlings Catholic) had a two RBI single going 1-for-3 and Stuart Turner (Eunice) went 1-for-2 with a run scored.

The same two teams will play tomorrow, Saturday February 25th at 11:00 am.  That game will be followed by the Bengals playing Northwest Florida at 1:30 pm in the rain altered schedule.
