Lady Bengals take two from Pearl River
In game one, the Lady Bengals jumped out to a four run lead in the bottom of the first inning that PRCC just could not come back from. Lead by pitcher Tina Schulz, who went 3-3 in the game, pitched 4 complete innings, striking out five, and only allowing one hit.
The Lady Bengals would go on to collect seven more runs to end the first game in the mercy rule after five innings, beating PRCC 11-1 on a pinch hit from Tiffany Havard scoring the final three runs of the ball game.
PRCC jumped out to a 1st inning lead on a solo home run in the second game, but their lead was short lived as the Lady Bengals answered back in the bottom of the first and tied up the score 1-1. The home run was the only run PRCC would score, as pitcher Kaylee Guidry would go on to hold PRCC to just two hits and striking out seven of their batters in seven innings on the mound.
The Bengals battled back after leaving multiple runners on base to collect five runs, ending the game in a score of 5-1.The Lady Bengals offense was lead by Logane Fuselier, who went 2-2 with two runs batted in and collected three stolen bases, and also Kelsey Hollier, who went 2-4 with three runs scored and collected two stolen bases.
