Lady Bengals win 14 straight with sweep of Holmes CC
Lady Bengals (24-2) take two from Holmes CC, 2-0 and 10-2.
In game one of Saturday's doubleheader the Lady Bengal's defense lead by
Tina Schulz in the circle, allowing only two hits, walking one, and striking out 10 batters in seven innings of play, held Holmes CC scoreless.
The Lady Bengal's offense was lead by
Jaci Trahan who went 2-3 at the plate, and
Kaylee Guidry who went 1-3 with one RBI.
The Lady Bengal's offense came alive in the second game with nine Lady Bengal's collecting hits, they were lead by
Jacey Armstrong going 2-3, with two runs scored and one RBI, and
Logane Fuselier going 2-3, with two runs scored and one RBI.
Kaylee Guidry started in the circle for the Lady Bengal's, pitching three complete innings, allowing one run, two hits, and collected four strike outs.
Alexi Reynolds came in relief for Guidry in the fourth inning, finishing the game for the Lady Bengal's pitching two innings, giving up one run, one hit, and striking out one.
The two wins on the day extended the Lady Bengal's winning streak to 14 games, the Lady Bengal's are next in action on March 15 at Pearl River CC.
