Softball splits with PRCC in Thursday's games

Lady Bengals split with the PRCC Lady Wildcats, dropping game one 3-5 and coming back for a 5-0 win in game two.

In game one the Lady Bengals could not push the runs across needed to take the game from the Lady Wildcats, leaving 7 runners on base.  The Lady Bengals offense lead by Emily Trahan,going 2-2 with one walk and one RBI, and Taylor Simon, going 2-4 with one RBI, collected 8 hits as a team.
Defensively the Lady Bengals had only one error behind Tina Schulz in the circle, giving up seven hits, five runs, while striking out seven. 

The Lady Bengals came out swinging in game two scoring two runs in the first inning. Through out the game the bats stayed hot for the Bengals, racking up 10 hits and 5 runs. Leading the Bengals offense was Emily Trahan, going 2-2, with one walk and one RBI, Jacey Armstronggoing 2-3, with an RBI, and Pamela Wainwright, going 2-3 with one run scored. Pitcher Kaylee Guidry kept the Lady Wildcats off balance in the circle for the Lady Bengals, giving up only two hits, two walks, and collected six strike outs. The Lady Bengals played strong behind their pitcher giving up no errors in game two.

The Lady Bengals travel to Southwest Mississippi on Tuesday, March 20 for their next game, followed by a home game against Bossier Parish CC on Wednesday, March 21.
