Baseball Completes Sweep of St. Louis
Saturday March 17
th, Eunice, LA – The #1 ranked LSU Eunice baseball team (25-2) defeated St. Louis Community College by a score of 7-5 today.
Starting pitcher Brady Domangue (Vandebilt Catholic) (5-0) got the win pitching 6 1/3 innings, allowing eight hits and two runs with two walks and nine strikeouts. Patrick Michon (Porter, TX) came on in the ninth inning and allowed one hit and no runs to earned his seventh save of the season.
Dalton Herrington (Minden) and Marc Picciola (St. Charles Catholic) had two hits apiece. Herrington went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and one RBI, and Picciola went 2-for-5 with one run scored. Sam Carriere (Destrehan) added three RBI’s going 1-for-3 with his first homerun of the season.
The win completes a three-game sweep by the Bengals of St. Louis.
The next scheduled game for LSU Eunice is set for Friday March 23
rd in Baton Rouge, LA against Baton Rouge Community College. The game will begin at 6:00 PM at Pete Goldsby Field.
