LSU Eunice Defeats Baton Rouge

rd, Baton Rouge, LA – The #1 ranked LSU Eunice baseball team (26-2) defeated Baton Rouge Community College 8-4 tonight at Pete Goldsby Field.
Brady Wilson (Parkview Baptist) (6-0) started on the mound for the Bengals and went seven innings, allowing four hits and two runs; one earned, with one walk and seven strikeouts. Chad Miller (Sulphur) came on in relief to record the final two outs of the eighth inning before Patrick Michon (Porter, TX) pitched a perfect ninth to record his eighth save of the season.
Dalton Herrington (Minden) and Garrett Deschamp (Parkview Baptist) had three hits each. Herrington went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored, and Deschamp went 3-for-3 with one run scored and two RBI’s.
The two teams meet again tomorrow, Saturday March 24
th at 6:00 PM at Bengal Stadium in Eunice.
