Bengals Defeat Bears In Game Two
Saturday March 24
th, Eunice, LA – The LSU Eunice baseball team (27-2) won tonight’s game against Baton Rouge Community College 6-4 at Bengal Stadium.
Cody Boutte (NISH) (4-0) started on the mound and went eight innings, allowing nine hits and four runs, to earned, with one walk and four strikeouts. Patrick Michon (Porter, TX) pitched the ninth inning, allowing one walk with one strikeout to record his ninth save of the season.
Offensively, Sam Carriere (Destrehan) went 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored, a stolen base, and one RBI. Dalton Herrington (Minden) went 1-for-3 with a single, two runs scored, and three stolen bases. Marc Picciola (St. Charles Catholic) and Garrett Deschamp (Parkview Baptist) added two RBI’s each.
The two teams will conclude their three-game series tomorrow, March 25
th in Baton Rouge at Pete Goldsby Field with the contest set to begin at 3:00 PM.
