LSU Eunice Completes Sweep of Baton Rouge

th, Baton Rouge, LA – The LSU Eunice baseball team (28-2) completed a three game sweep of Baton Rouge Community College by winning this afternoon’s game by a score of 11-2.
Starting pitcher Brady Domangue (Vandebilt Catholic) went 5 2/3 innings, allowing seven hits and two runs with three walks and five strikeouts. Domangue was relieved by Chad Miller (Sulphur) (2-0) who picked up the win while pitching the remaining 3 1/3 innings, allowing one hit and no runs with no walks and three strikeouts.
At the plate, six different hitters collected two hits apiece. Adam Angelle (Teurlings Catholic), Marc Picciola (St. Charles Catholic), Stuart Turner (Eunice), and Zac Hawkins (Northlake Christian) each went 2-for-5. Picciola had two runs scored and two RBI’s and Turner scored once and drove in one. The other Bengals with multiple hits were Sam Carriere (Destrehan) and Drew Forbes (Denham Springs). Carriere went 2-for-4 with an RBI on his third homerun of the season and scored three runs. Forbes went 2-for-2 with one run scored and three RBI’s.
The next game(s) for the Bengals is a doubleheader at Louisiana College on Tuesday March 27
th. The contest is scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM.
