Lady Bengals take two from BRCC
Lady Bengals (29-3) takes two from BRCC, 10-0 and 2-1
In game one of Monday’s double header the Lady Bengals jumped out to a quick lead in the first inning, collecting four hits and scoring three runs. Over the next four innings the Lady Bengals racked up ten more hits and seven more runs, to end game one in the mercy rule after five innings. Offensively
Logane Fuselier, going 3-4 with one run and hitting in one RBI,
Kelsey Hollier, 3-3 scoring two runs and driving in two RBI’s, and
Jaci Trahan, 3-3 with one run and one RBI, led the Lady Bengals at the plate.
Tina Schulz led the Lady Bengals in the circle, throwing five innings, collecting six strike outs, giving up five hits, and only one walk. Behind Schulz the Lady Bengals defense gave up only one error.
Game two went differently for the Lady Bengals, while collecting nine hits as a team the Bengals left eight runners on base and were only able to push two runs across the plate.
Kelsey Hollier, going 2-3 with one RBI, and
Savannah Havard, going 2-4, led the Lady Bengals offense.
Kaylee Guidry was in the circle for game two, holding BRCC to one run, on three hits, four walks, collecting four strike outs, in six innings of work. The Lady Bengals defense gave up two errors behind Guidry.
Next up the Lady Bengals travel to Alexandria to play an exhibition game against LSU-Alexandria, game time set for 4pm.
