LSU Eunice Sweeps Wharton

th, Eunice, LA – The LSU Eunice baseball team (15-2) completed a three-game series sweep of Wharton County Junior College today, winning by a score of 13-2.
Starting pitcher Brady Domangue (Vandebilt Catholic) (3-0) went six innings, allowing four hits and two runs, one earned, while walking three and striking out six. Brandt Bourgeois (Destrehan) relieved Domangue and threw one inning, allowing one hit and no runs with one walk and three strikeouts.
At the plate, five different hitters had multiple hits, led by Sam Carriere (Destrehan) who went 4-for-4 with a double, one run scored, and one RBI. Drew Forbes (Denham Springs) and Landon Thibodeaux (Central) each had three singles going 3-for-4. Dalton Herrington (Minden) added two singles, and Marc Picciola (St. Charles Catholic) went 2-for-5 with a grand slam and five RBI’s.
The next games for the Bengals are a mid-week three-game series against Kellogg Community College from Battlecreek, MI. Game one is scheduled for Tuesday March 6
th at 6:00 PM at Bengal Stadium.
