th, Eunice, LA – The #1 ranked LSU Eunice baseball team (36-3) won tonight against Tyler Junior College from Tyler, TX by a 5-3 score.
Brady Wilson (Parkview Baptist) (9-0) started for the Bengals and pitched six innings, allowing four hits and two runs; one earned, with three walks and six strikeouts. Wilson was relieved by Tanner Olinde (Catholic Pointe Coupee) in the seventh inning and he threw one inning, allowing one hit and no runs with no walks and two strikeouts. Zac Person (Eunice) pitched the eighth inning striking out all three batters he faced, and Patrick Michon (Porter, TX) pitched the ninth picking up his 12
th save of the season while allowing two hits and one run with one walk and two strikeouts.
Adam Angelle (Teurlings Catholic) led the offense going 3-for-4 with three runs scored and four stolen bases. Landon Thibodeaux (Central) was the other Bengal with multiple hits going 2-for-4 with his second homerun of the season. Stuart Turner (Eunice) also homered in the game, his third round-tripper on the year.
The two teams will meet again tomorrow, Saturday April 14
th at 6:00 PM at Bengal Stadium for game two of their three-game series.
