Lady Bengals take two from BRCC
Lady Bengals (42-6) take two from BRCC, 2-0 and 7-0
In game one of Wednesday's doubleheader the Lady Bengals offense racked up 12 hits, being led by
Kelsey Hollier who went 3-4 with one run scored,
Taylor Simon going 2-4, and
Emily Trahan hitting 2-3 with one walk and one run scored.
The Lady Bengals defense was led by pitcher Tina Schulz, who shutout the Lady Bears, only giving up three hits and striking out four in seven innings of play.
The Lady Bengals bats stayed hot in the second game, scoring seven runs off of 12 hits. Four Lady Bengals had a mutliple hit game, with Tina Schulz going 3-4 with three runs scored and three RBIs,
Brooke Ort going 2-4 with two runs scored,
Kelsey Hollier going 2-3 with two runs scored and one RBI, and
Taylor Simon going 2-4 with one run scored.
Kaylee Guidry started in the circle for the Lady Bengals going six innings, only allowing two hits and collecting six strike outs.
Doren Welch came in to close out the game for the Lady Bengals, getting one strike out and giving up no hits in the last inning of play.
Next up for the Lady Bengals, they are travelling to Marianna, FL to take on NJCAA DI 4th ranked Chipola College in a double header set for Friday night. Game times at 5 and 7 PM.
