Bengals Down Bears

st, Baton Rouge, LA - The LSU Eunice baseball team (39-4) defeated Baton Rouge Community College 5-3 in tonight’s game.
Cody Boutte (NISH) started on the mound for the Bengals and went 7 1/3 innings, allowing six hits and two runs with no walks and four strikeouts. Will Bacon (Parkview Baptist) relieved Boutte and pitched 2/3 of an inning, allowing one hit and had one strikeout. Patrick Michon (Porter, TX) picked up the win going one inning, allowing two hits and one run with one walk and one strikeout. Chad Miller (Sulphur) following Michon, recording the last three outs of the game for his second save of the season.
At the plate, nine different Bengal hitters had one hit apiece. Buddy McCoy (Haughton) had a double and two RBI’s. Chuck Tillery (Starkville, MS), Tyler Caruthers (Denham Springs), and Dalton Herrington (Minden) each had RBI singles to tally the other Bengal runs.
The teams will meet tomorrow, Sunday April 22
nd, to complete their series at 3:00 PM at Bengal Stadium.
